Rev. Anna Melissa Jackson is a native New Yorker and the eldest child of immigrant parents who came to the U.S. from the Republic of Panama. She loves animals, jigsaw puzzles, needlepointing and playing her cello. She has had a variety of work experiences over the years. She was a bookkeeper in her father’s accounting firm, a legislative aide in the New York State Assembly, and a vice president in the derivatives division of an investment bank.
In the Reformed Church in America (RCA), Pastor Anna has served on the General Synod Council, as the Moderator of the Board of trustees at New Brunswick Seminary, and on various commissions and task forces. She also represented the RCA as a member of the Executive Committee of the World Communion of Reformed Churches.
Pastor Anna is a graduate of Hofstra University and holds a Masters of Divinity from New Brunswick Theological Seminary. In 2000, she was ordained as Minister of Word and Sacrament in the RCA and has been serving in the pastorate ever since. She and her husband, Rev. She hopes that her life’s work will help awaken people to the radical love of God made known through Jesus Christ and together we strive to live a life loving God and our neighbors.
