Choir director/organist June Marano-Murray holds a Bachelor Degree of Music in piano and a Master Degree of Music in accompanying from Manhattan School of Music in NYC. Upon graduation, she was awarded the prestigious Harold Bauer Award. She has studied organ with well known organist Allen Sever and is a long standing member of the American Guild of Organists, Northern Valley Chapter. She was a scholarship student at the Graz Music Festival in Graz, Austria. June has worked as conductor/ assistant conductor at Wolf Trap Co., NY Opera Repertory Theater, Lake George Opera, Amato Opera, Opera Ensemble of NY, Central City Opera, Chauttauqua Opera, and Asolo Opera, now renamed Sarasota Opera, in Sarasota, Florida. She has performed and taught at the Tainan Summer Camp in Tainan, Taiwan. Along with Second Reformed Church, June also plays organ at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Tenafly, NJ. She has been on the opera coaching staff of Manhattan School of Music for over 30 years. She privately coaches and teaches, along with freelancing in accompanying/organ capacities.
